Photographer Showcases Dogs Wearing the Infamous “Cone of Shame”

Elizabethan collar, humorously called “Cone of Shame,” is a protective medical device worn by animals, normally dogs and cats. The cones, usually made of stiff plastic and are uncomfortable, prevents animals from reaching out their niggling skin conditions or post-surgery stitches.

New York-based photographer Winnie Au created a series that features dogs wearing artfully designed pet cones. The photo series complement each dog’s fur, body type, and personality with handcrafted collars made by costume designer Marie-Yan Morvan.
