Woman Uses Power Washer to Create Awesome Artwork on Driveways

North Carolina’s Dianna Wood wanted to get a power washer for years but never got around to purchase it. This is why her husband thought getting her one this year for her birthday would be a great idea. And it turned out it was, as the power washer unleashed Wood’s creativity in an unexpected way.

Wood first used the washer on the smaller surfaces around the house before deciding to start cleaning her big driveway. She quickly realized that since the driveway got really dirty over time, it ended up being a perfect canvas for the washer and that she could write and draw on it.

“I realized that I could do word art in one-tenth the time that it would take to power-wash the entire driveway and it would allow me to leave most of the dirty part dirty,” – Wood told KSAT News.

Wood started making all sorts of artworks on her and her neighbors’ driveways while sharing the results on social media. It didn’t take long for this unconventional art to go viral and make her a local star.

“Wonderful things are happening as a result of all of this. I contacted the county art association with the idea of having an event where all the kids in the community come out and color in the images with sidewalk art. They love the idea, and we are going to meet to work out the particulars,” she added.
