Makeup has evolved in so many ways. Without special effects, makeup artists can now create special looks that were not possible in the past. The process looks simple, but it is more complicated than it looks.

Social media was going crazy when this amazing makeup video by Vanessa Davis surfaced on the internet. The viral video shows makeup skills like you have never seen before.

The makeup artist successfully blends a castle on her face. She starts by applying some safe adhesive on the side of her hair and attaches her castle. The next step involves spraying the castle and blending it into her face. When this is done, she applies makeup on her face, drawing her brows and applying eye shadow. The artist then details the castle on the side of her face. The result of this work is mind-blowing.

SOUND ON 🔈 This creepy silent film music is everything 🏰😂 To help create the Gothic Cathedral on my face I used a 3D paper model of St Stephen’s Cathedral. I half made some of the towers and cut out the windows to give depth and scale. I then airbrushed the architecture purple to give a more atmospheric feel and painted my own version using black and gold over the paper and onto the face. I blended the paper into the face using pieces of bald cap. It was surprisingly challenging getting the lines straight and blending paper forms into the face. Cupid ♥️🏹🧒🏼☁️ This is a collaboration with @edmundbossmanhair Wig designer and wig maker, who created the wig of my DREAMS for this Valentine’s makeup! I never wanted to take it off 😍 The wig is for sale on his page! I was originally inspired by 1940’s Valentine’s Day cards and started looking at cherubs and cupids and then @abbyrobertsartistry created a beautiful rendition on herself and @nikkietutorials The clouds were inspired by @capricorrn and the cherub references I looked at were Raphael’s painting The Triumph of Galatea, various illustrations and one tattoo. The cherubs were challenging to paint and I watched YouTube videos on how to draw them.
