Artist Uses Soap Jars Instead of Plastic Packaging

Do you ever think about the amount of plastic you throw away after you’re done with regular hygiene products? Shampoo, shower gel, deodorant, and similar products you use for daily hygiene often come in plastic containers that you simply discard when they’re empty. But all that plastic ends up polluting our planet for thousands of years to come, so many people have started asking the question: is it worth it?

Mi Zhou is one of them. He’s enrolled in the Master’s degree program of Central Saint Martins Material Futures and he came up with a creative idea to change the plastic toiletry containers into usable products. He makes jars and bottles using soap and his idea is that they can be used just like the plastic ones.

Would you buy something like this if it was available in the stores?
