OF CATS AND MEN featuring PIRULINO AND BERTO . Berto is an old acquaintance of mine. He works in one of the restaurants near the local sanctuary, that's where I first met him 2 + yrs ago. Berto loves cats and cats love Berto. When he's on a break he goes to the sanctuary and he cuddles whoever ask for it. Pirulino is one of the biggest cats at the sanctuary. He loves Berto and being in his arms. . . . I'm pleased to present this new documentary project OF CATS AND MEN that will try to show the special relationship that some men have with their cats. We always hear stories about the so-called Crazy Cat Ladies, so I've tried to think out of the box and I realized that we don't know much about men and their cats. From what I've witnessed so far during the first shootings, men have an even closer and more intimate relationship with their cats than women. Stepping into their homes and learning about their daily life was like discovering a new world of emotions that they usually don't show in public. . . . . #yourshotphotographer #hikaricreative #hartcollective #mpnselects #friendsinperson #tea_journals #jj_community #wearegrryo #efsyn_newspaper #myfeatureshoot #irimages #burnmagazine #bnw_legit #jj_streetphotography #sobotakota #burndiary #lensculture #spi_bnw #friendsinbnw #bnw_demand #photowall_bw #lensculturestreets #turkobjektif_bw #streets_storytelling #doubleyedge #indiaphotostory #wanderlustfilms #vimpt #irimages #jj_forum_2682

OF CATS AND MEN featuring GEORGE AND BERTO . This is the first photo that I took of Berto at the local sanctuary. I still didn't know him back then. I had just started to go there for my documentary project on colony cats THE INVISIBLES. He saw me taking photos and he called me. 'Would you mind taking a photo of George and me?'. I did. I met Berto again a few weeks later when I gave him a print of this shot. In the meantime volunteers had told me that Berto worked near the sanctuary and he always went there on his lunch break to be with the cats that live in the sanctuary and are free to come and go as they please. Back then he had a special connection with George, he only let Berto pick him up. George knew exactly at what time George started working and was always there to welcome him. George passed away a couple of years ago. Berto and I are friends now and in the past three years I've had the honor to take his portrait at the sanctuary with some special cats that he cherishes so much. I can't believe how deeply my life has changed since I started going to that sanctuary for my shootings. I could never thank enough all the special people I've met there, like Berto and all the volunteers and, of course, those cats. Those magic creatures that have touched my heart and changed it forever. . . . #yourshotphotographer #doubleyedge #hartcollective #perfectturk_bw #tea_journals #kedifilm #catsofinstagram #7bnwcreation_1day #myfeatureshoot #catstocker #bnw_drama #bnw_legit #instagram #all_bnwshots #bnw_greatshots #reportagespotlight #gato #friendsinbnw #bnw_demand #catstermag #jj_blackwhite #turkobjektif_bw #bnw_rose #indiaphotostory #bnw_madrid #exxplorevision #bnw_animals #noir_shots #burnmagazine #friendsinperson

OF CATS AND MEN feat. Didone and Berto . Berto is an old acquaintance of mine. He works in one of the restaurants near the local sanctuary, that's where I first met him 2 + yrs ago. Berto loves cats and cats love Berto. When he's on a break he goes to the sanctuary and he cuddles whoever ask for it. For the past few months he's gotten real close to Didone, a big cat as sweet as any cat could be. Didone loves Berto's attention and being in his arms so there could be no better portrait to introduce them to you. I think that in a way they even look alike. . . . I'm pleased to present this new documentary project OF CATS AND MEN that will try to show the special relationship that some men have with their cats. OF CATS AND MEN featuring PRINCIPE and MASSIMO Massimo's eyes are the eyes of a good man. And they are big. Like the eyes of those characters in Japanese cartoons. In Japanese cartoons you can tell at first sight who the bad and good are, because the good always have big eyes. Huge. And when Massimo looks at you through the lenses of his glasses his eyes become even bigger, as through a magnifying lens. And through those good eyes that look at the world around him, you can look inside of him, in his inner world. As to almost see his soul. Massimo has been volunteering at the sanctuary for twelve years. He’s the one who introduced me to most of the cats who live there. He told me their names. He told me how long they’ve been there. He told me what's their favorite part of the park. I often went with him on his Sunday tours to refill with fresh food and water the shelters in the park for those cats who want to live into the wild and only sometimes go to the sanctuary. He shared with me his love for them. That’s how I learnt, day after day, to love them too. I’ll never be grateful enough to him. . . . #yourshotphotographer #hikaricreative #hartcollective #mpnselects #friendsinperson #tea_journals #jj_community #wearegrryo #efsyn_newspaper #myfeatureshoot #irimages #burnmagazine #bnw_legit #jj_streetphotography #sobotakota #burndiary #lensculture #friendsinbnw #bnw_demand #photowall_bw #LensOnStreets #lensculturestreets #turkobjektif_bw #streets_storytelling #doubleyedge #indiaphotostory #bnw_bretagne #streetphotographyinternational #vimpt #irimages #humbleartsfoundation

OF CATS AND MEN featuring SPARTACUS AND BERTO 1/3 . Berto is an old acquaintance of mine. He works in one of the restaurants near the local sanctuary, that's where I first met him 2 + yrs ago. Berto loves cats and cats love Berto. When he's on a break he goes to the sanctuary and he cuddles whoever ask for it. Spartacus is a 16 pounds cat that often sleeps in the sanctuary but he also likes being outdoors with people. When he saw Berto he went to him and rubbed against his legs. He wanted being picked up. And as Berto held him in his arms he started kneaded him. Spartacus kneaded Berto for 10 minutes. I was there and witnessed the whole scene. You should have seen the sweetness of that big cat and the emotion in Berto's eyes as he held his sweet furry friend. . . . I'm pleased to present this new documentary project OF CATS AND MEN that will try to show the special relationship that some men have with their cats.
