Ariane, who goes by the name ari_stocrate on Instagram, is a 25-year-old artist who creates funny comics. The Paris-based illustrator draws her everyday problems and adventures – from having long hair in the summer to being an artist.
She is also the owner of a cat called Jasper who you can find in her comics, as well. Her artistic journey began when she was a child, however, only in her teen years she started to take it seriously. That’s when she became a comic illustrator.
“The best thing is anyone can do it, you don’t have to be Michael-Angelo to draw comic strips, the important part is the joke, not the art per se,” Ariane told Bored Panda. “The worst thing is some people don’t understand the minimalistic approach in comic strips for the joke to work and will criticize the art as if you were drawing a graphic novel.”
She shares her work on Instagram where she has attracted an audience of more than 116 thousand followers.
