You Will Fall In Love With These Vintage Style Embroidery

During the last few years, embroidery has become very popular and many artists have presented creative ideas on how to use it in a new way.

Nadia Garutt is a Russian textile artist who crafts nature-inspired embroidery we found very appealing and worth sharing with our readers. She handcrafts brooches, pendants, and hoops that remind us of Victorian-era trinkets. Her pieces look like something you’d like to inherit from your grandma and keep safe for your own grandchildren.

Each piece contains a motif inspired by flora and fauna, conserving the beauty of the natural world in colorful stitched threads. There are images of forest fungi, blooms, autumn trees, village houses, birds, foxes, and many others. It’s very apparent how much the artist loves nature. Her works are usually featured by paint stroke-like stitches arranged in layers in order to achieve nuances in the tone of color and structure. Then, she encases them with decorative bronze or puts them in frames made of stainless steel. This later becomes a necklace, a brooch, or a home decoration piece.

Garutt’s works are so inspiring to see, especially in early autumn. They preserve the nicest images of nature and make lovely combinations with autumn-outfits. Scroll down and see for yourself!
